Sandara and Joseph bring to life “Machete” on Komiks

Machete goes wholesome this Saturday on Komiks as the celebrated Paolo S. Gomez’ tale comes to life once more with teen
stars Sandara Park and Joseph Bitangcol. Sexy as some might
remember the big screen versions, the story gets a refreshing
teeny bopper twist which also stars Maui Taylor, Neri Naig,
Paolo Paraiso and Michelle Madrigal.

Written by Joel Mercado and directed by
Erick Salud, unlike the sexy versions done by Cesar Montano,
Rosanna Roces, Rita Avila and Gardo Versoza, this time around
Komiks shows us Machete’s comic and romantic possibilities.
Sandara takes on the role of ill fated new clerk Mara working
for wicked boutique owner Sheena played by Maui Taylor. Tasked
to buy a new mannequin to replace the one that she broke,
Mara returns to the boutique with a statue of an Indian warrior.
That same night, the poor girl discovers that the statue turns
human at nightfall – a human named Machete (Joseph Bitangcol).

What adventures await Mara and Machete? Will
Mara be able to find the key to Machete’s permanent
human transformation? Tune in for another entertaining Pablo
S. Gomez’ story with Sandara Park and Joseph Bitangcol
this March 18 on ABS-CBN’s Komiks right after Little
Big Star.
